Knee Arthroscopy
Knee arthroscopy involves a surgeon to make small incisions on the knee and a small camera is then placed. The knee is suffused with liquid to give a better view of the knee. Knee arthroscopy is performed to diagnose and treat orthopedic conditions, such as torn cartilage tissue, bone and cartilage fragments together with torn ligaments.
If the orthopaedic surgeon determines that surgery is required, another small incision is made to bring in small instruments to correct the abnormality. After surgery, the specialist closes the incisions with sutures and wraps them with sterile dressings.
